By Car
Northern State/Grand Central Parkway to Jackie Robinson Parkway, exit 13.
Exit at Metropolitan Ave. Left turn at end of ramp (eastbound)—You will pass Forest Park. Go 6/10 mile (six lights) to Lefferts Blvd. Capital One Bank on the left. The Center is 1/2 block past Lefferts Blvd., on the right side.
Long Island Expressway to Grand Central Parkway East (Exit 22A westbound) or Van Wyck Expressway South (Exit 22B Westbound). Exit at Jackie Robinson Parkway and proceed as above.
Van Wyck Expressway South (from the north shore or Whitestone Bridge). Exit at Jackie Robinson Parkway and proceed as above.
Van Wyck Expressway North (from the south shore). Exit at Jamaica Ave. Left at light. Pass through next light. Make next right. Then bear right at next light onto Metropolitan Ave. (under train overpass). We are 1/2 mile down on the left.
Union Turnpike to Metropolitan Ave. East. Center is 7/10 mile (you will pass Forest Park) on right.
* The Center is located in the Concourse below a three-story brick apartment building (Kew Gardens Townhouses). Park on the street and walk to the end of the driveway on the right side of the Townhouses, to the Concourse entrance. Go downstairs and to the end of the hall. Look for Hands-On Health signs.
By Long Island RailRoad (LIRR) (3 1/2 blocks from the Center)
Take the Railroad to Kew Gardens station. You will come out near Lefferts Blvd. Go right on Lefferts, passing Chase Manhattan Bank on the left and Giorgio’s salon on the right. Continue to the third light (Metropolitan Ave.) and turn left. Cross Metropolitan and look for the three-story brick building. We are on the same block as Alba's deli, a laundromat, Chinese food and a travel agent. Proceed as above*.
By Subway (1/2 mile from the Center)
E or F train to Union Turnpike/Kew Gardens. Follow signs to the south side of Queens Blvd. Take Q 10 bus, at the intersection of Queens Blvd. and Kew Gardens Road, to Metropolitan Ave., and proceed as above*. If you prefer to walk from the subway station, take Kew Gardens Road to Lefferts Blvd. and turn right. Follow Lefferts down the hill (about five blocks) to Metropolitan Avenue. Cross Metropolitan, turn left and proceed as above*.
By Bus
Q 54 Metropolitan Ave. bus to Lefferts Blvd.
Q 10 Lefferts Blvd. bus to Metropolitan Ave.
Q 60 Queens Blvd. bus to Union Tpke.; then Q10 bus to Metropolitan Ave.
